Job Description:
Primary focus will be on a Websphere Middleware SOA application Lead Developer for a new Treasury Management Healthcare product.

Under general supervision, the incumbent is responsible for assembling of SOA Composition that integrates a Websphere Middleware infrastructure with a custom developed software solution.

The application will leverage enterprise technologies and systems to deliver a comprehensive infrastructure supporting distributed object-oriented applications in an n-tier multiplatform environment.

The incumbent must recommend, develop and implement solutions that balance the “ideal” with the practical consideration for the business unit.

The incumbent must also ensure their job responsibilities are performed in a manner consistent with corporate and technology risk management standards, as well as act as a key technology leader for the application development team.

Essential functions of the job include:

Requirements:

PNC Bank is searching for a Software Engineer IV.

Typically requires a Bachelors Degree in Business (or related) / Information Science or relevant experience.

Minimum of four to seven years professional experience in financial services or information systems industry.

The incumbent must be highly organized with excellent strong, analytical, problem solving, presentation, and decision making skills.

Must also demonstrate strong communication skills and be able to interface with all levels of business and technology partners.

The specific role in support of this team includes:

Independently perform application system design,

system testing and debugging, and

documentation of software modifications.

Interact with the development team and business analysts to build and associate services for planned enhancements.

Assist in initiative planning and scope for production activities.

Identify, prioritize, resolve and/or escalate issues as they arise.

Function as the primary Team Lead with the working knowledge of core technologies contained within the business application systems.

Core technologies include, but are not limited to IBM Middleware tools (e.g., Process, ESB), Business-specific SOA products (e.g., IBM Business Rules, iLog JRules, Activity Monitoring), messaging technologies (e.g., MQ Series, Message Broker for transformations) and software languages (e.g., JAVA).

Demonstrate and possess a thorough understanding of information technology concepts including database concepts structures, J2EE software development techniques, testing techniques.

Continually identify productivity savings by identifying and implementing process improvements.

Readily adapts to new technologies and practices in the work environment

Help formulate/design application scope and objectives for the development of maintenance related projects.

Ability to operate effectively in a team based organizational structure.

Exhibit excellent skills with personal computer and standard office products (e.g., Word, Excel, E-mail, Project Planning tools).

May be responsible for high level application architecture, roadmaps, functionality, performance, quality, strategic and tactical planning, and service in the SOA domain.

Broad technical skills for technology environment the incumbent must support.
