The multi-billion dollar online advertising business represents one of the greatest growth opportunities for Microsoft, and adCenter is hiring strong, self-motivated and results driven developers for adCenter Editorial Team.
adCenter's editorial system integrates advanced algorithms and human oversight to ensure online ad quality. Editorial is the gateway to adCenter as it stands between ad creation and delivery across various ad types and delivery mediums. Not only does this gateway need to be efficient but also present a generous facet to the advertisers, and at the same time, protect adCenter from harmful ads and potential lawsuits. We have successfully built a cohesive virtual team integrating Indian and Chinese offshore centers with groups in Redmond and Europe. We will provide you a unique opportunity to test, refine and challenge your cross-team collaboration skills. Your new job will enable you to improve our existing products (editorial verification for web and mobile paid search ads) and innovate on new editorial verification systems (editorial verification for publishers, image ads and contextual ads). Creation of smart and low-cost editorial systems that satisfy our external advertisers and publisher as well as internal business partners requires not only coding skills but also business sensitivity and research intelligence.
Qualified candidates should be aggressive thinkers and have a demonstrated track record of high performance feature development. We are looking for people with strong leadership skills who can “own” critical areas and drive features into the product. As well, successful candidates will demonstrate excellent design, coding and debugging skills, be able to work as part of virtual team and have excellent cross team collaboration skills.
Candidates must have experience in some or all of the following:
- Strong expertise in C#/Java/.NET
- Very solid object-oriented design and coding/debugging skills
- Strong expertise in Web Services
- Experience in Service Oriented Architecture is a big plus. In addition, experience in online advertising, e-commerce, or large scale web development is a plus.
Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent, and 4+ years of software development experience.
