Job Description:
Seeking an individual to perform troubleshooting & resolution of network performance, workstation & peripheral installation/operational issues and final readiness preparation for a mission critical statewide application deployment
Requirements:
•Provide consultation/expert technical assistance for the troubleshooting and final readiness preparation of the statewide data communications network, associated communications hardware and configurations, and workstations and peripherals (scanners and printers).
•Tests and evaluates communications devices and networks. Submit reports on the performance and maintainability of the devices
•Validate fault-tolerant designs and recommend solutions where appropriate, including routing solutions, Content Switching and enterprise-wide security policies.
Experience/Education:
•BS in computer science or related field
•3+ years hands on Cisco engineer networking experience including routers switches and firewalls with extensive Routing and Switching Background. (Certification desired.)
•Experience and proficiency in the following areas:
-Physical layer diagnostic skills and testing equipment
-Firewall and network traffic analysis
-ATM, Ethernet, Fiber Technologies
-Web services, network operating systems, and Citrix as relates to network traffic flows, utilization, identification, and support.
-VLAN, Ethernet Trunking, 802.1q
•Must have proven capabilities working within a team environment and leading teams on projects and activities
•Strong ability to demonstrate and communicate solutions, technical problems, resolutions/root cause, and proof of concepts to customers
•Excellent troubleshooting skills, physical layer and equipment configuration
•Valid CO drivers license and clean driving record.
