Job Description:
Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the design/development of Geared Actuation Flight Control, Horizontal Stabilizers Actuators, Flap/Slat Systems, & Pilot Controls, Fly-By-Wire Throttle Quadrants, & Artificial feel.
Responsibilities:
-Requirements Capture, design analysis, system sizing, trade studies, integration, & test.
-Specific tasks include requirements analysis, definition, and validation, system and subsystem integration and requirements verification testing, coordination between systems, hardware, and software design functions, and development of system related documentation.
-Drive technical requirements into design features.
-Schedule/budget coordination and maintenance corresponding to traditional Project Engineering activities, preparing and presenting management program/earned value reviews, and coordination of work assignments for other Systems Engineers.
-Prepare Technical Proposals to customer requirements.
Additional Requirements:
-Experience in requirements analysis and integration are essential.
-Prior experience with mechanism design, large assemblies, kinematics and component sizing, tolerance stack-up analysis and verification, UNIGRAPHICS parametric solid modeling is preferred.
-Must be motivated to learn at a fast pace, work autonomously and within a team environment.
-Experience with DOORS database software is highly preferred.
-Familiarity with FAR/JAR requirements as it relates to Chapter 25 and/ or 27 preferred.
-Must also possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to support frequent customer meetings and also support pursuit related activities.
Education:
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
