•Define, document, communicate, and implement technical and architectural requirements for current and next-generation systems
•Design and develop software integration between applications using TIBCO Business Works and SmartMapper.
•Work with universities in other countries to build common business objects and metadata for process integration.
•Specify and provide ownership of reusable application components or reusable services and processes.
•Implement technology for application program-to-program communication (APPC) among the components.
•Provide architectural oversight for integration projects.
•Define the services, frameworks, component types and interfaces.
•Conduct pre-implementation and design reviews for other members and groups within the department to assure quality software construction and to avoid duplication of efforts in solving the same application/integration problems across projects.
•Work with third party vendors to develop software and/or integrate their software into the enterprise architecture.
•Evaluate new technologies and software products to determine feasibility and desirability of incorporating their capabilities within the enterprise application portfolio.
•Continually assess the application architecture.
•Collaborates with business and information architects to ensure application-level software services are derived from and consistent with the business object model and business strategy
