Cutting edge company located in Austin, TX is seeking a mid-level software engineer to develop and maintain software for new product testing and production testing of high-speed digital communication products. The candidate will be responsible for defining, creating, developing and verifying the test software, conferring with other engineering personnel and resolving problems, as needed. The ideal candidate will have experience developing manufacturing test software for 10Gb TCP/IP network adapter cards and experience working with contract manufacturers to test high volumes of cards.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and maintain Hardware Test software .
• Develop and maintain Run-in Test software
• Develop and maintain ECN document control and distribution software.
• Develop and maintain Card Tracking Software.
• Work within a team environment to debug issues with manufacturing software in real time.
• Transition production testing to an outside contract manufacturer while maintaining new product testing internally.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• Extensive experience in Java, C, and Perl programming
• Extensive experience in working in a manufacturing test environment.
• Experience in Microsoft and Linux operating systems.
• Experience setting up PXE servers and clients.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels within the organization.
• PHP, CGI Programming -- Highly Preferred.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

BSEE, or equivalent experience, with 5 years of experience, including experience in manufacturing test and interfacing to external contract manufacturers.
