Scope of this Position

·This position will be the technical lead for requirements elaboration, design and implementation and delivery of corporate SAP portal applications.
·In preparing for this role, the candidate will have worked as a consultant for a minimum of five years within a corporate environment.
·The role requires knowledge of corporate B2E (business to employee) and B2C portal applications and solutions and their value proposition.
·The position reports to the VP, Engineering from a discipline perspective, and the project manager from a project perspective.

Job Requirements

Technical Requirements
·Ability to demonstrate the relationship of technology to business value to key client stakeholders.
·Capable of making key decisions around approach, architecture, design frameworks, and demonstrate those frameworks as feasible.
·Effectively collaborate across multi-disciplinary project teams to produce well thought out and innovative designs.
·Demonstrate experience solving a variety of technical challenges around, integration, personalization, and innovation.
·Assess complexity and risk, producing strategies and plans for mitigating risks.
·Manage teams through planning, design and implementation and delivery.
·Experience delivering applications with SAP Portal, SAP EP Knowledge Management and Collaboration Design.
·Design and implementation of Search Technologies (TREX) and SAP BI tools.
·Experience in integrating third party Content Management Systems to SAP EP. Knowledge of Interwoven, Vignette, Documentum, Stellant, SAP KM, are all helpful. While each CMS has their own nuances, a solid understanding of at least one of the above helps to be able to work through the underlying structural issues.
·Java/J2EE Architecture and implementation experience.
·5-7 years experience delivering multi-tier applications, knowledge of open source frameworks as appropriate.
·Object Oriented and Relational Data Design experience.
·Familiarity with content management systems and their integration into portal solutions.
·Experience with ERP systems integration,
·Sun Certified - Java Programmer, Component Developer, Enterprise Architect.

Education:
·Minimum - B.S. degree in computer science or related field.
·Masters degree preferred.

Travel: Travel to client sites expected (approx. 20%), trade shows and sales prospects, as needed.
