Our Client in Midtown Manhattan is seeking strong ABAP (Advanced Business Application Programming) Programmers to join a team of IT professionals charged with enhancing SAP R/3, CRM, SRM, BW, and APO systems. There are 2 open positions the client wants to fill on a Contract-to-Hire basis.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in CS, master's in CS or eCommerce preferred
- 6+ yrs programming exp in relational DBs with 4+ yrs exp in ABAP/4 required
- Proven skills in SAP R/3, CRM, SRM, BW, and APO systems programming techniques
- Additional programming exp in BW, APO & exposure to NetWeaver Stack is a BIG plus
- Proficiency in all aspects of ABAP programming (including dialog programming using screen painter, List Viewer (ALV Grid), SAPScript / SMARTFORMS, Remote Function Modules, interfaces with other R/3 systems and non-R/3 systems [IDOCS, ALE, BDC, BAPI technology, SQL], User Exits and screen exits, data loads/conversions, SAPConsole, SAP Query and Report Writer, BTEs, Data Dictionary objects, ABAP Workbench toolset)
- Strong knowledge in development and implementation of SAP Workflow
- Strong knowledge of ABAP object-oriented development and MVC architecture, including developing web applications using Business Server Pages (BSP)
- Programming exp with CRM Interaction Center, EEWB and CRM BADI development
- Comprehensive knowledge of CRM Tables and function modules
- Understanding of EDI translation, mapping, and governing standards (such as ANSI X.12, UN-EDIFACT, VICS, AS2)
- Understanding of Adobe Interactive Forms, Java, Portals, SOAP, XML, Web-Apps
- Ability to synthesize requirements and design factors from user interviews, management directives, company business practices, and existing systems
- Ability to create systems from design documents and to create written technical documentation
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Designs new systems to meet specific business goals
- Assists in the requirements analysis for new system development projects
- Gathers and analyzes user requirements and design solutions to meet business requirements
- Codes and unit-tests systems described by the design documents
- Creates technical documentation outlining functions of programs
- Builds/develops and maintains workflow applications in SAP R/3, CRM, SRM, BW, and APO.
- Performs full system functional testing to ensure finished systems are bug-free and fully compliant with designs
- Maintains design, code, documentation, and testing procedures during the functional life-cycle after initial implementation, based on input from the user community
- Analyzes, troubleshoots, diagnoses, and develops appropriate solutions to system problems
- Responsible for meeting all assigned/agreed on target dates for projects as well as individual tasks
- Conducts performance tuning of ABAP programs to help improve efficiency
- Assist business teams in defining SAP profiles and roles required to provide access to SAP
- Designs, develops, tests, and implements access roles; documents and validates results
- Responsible for on-going maintenance, analyzing and ensuring security authorization procedures are adhered to company guidelines.
