Overview:

TEMP POSITION - assignment is anticipated to be 12-months. Will consider at a Senior level, depending on experience & qualifications.

The SCO team has several openings for Cool:Gen developers. The qualifying candidates will perform both new development (SCO PRIDE project) and support functions for the SCO application as well as participate in an on-call rotation for the programs supported by the team.

Occasional travel may be required.

This position will be expected to participate in application support on-call rotation and may be called in off-hours to resolve application issues and problems.

Qualifications:

To join the SCO team, the developer must have strong analysis, design, development and testing skills and be proficient in each of the following:
• CA AllFusion Gen (Cool:Gen) and CBD (Component Based Development) and data modeling skills.
• Relational database skills with a preference for either IBM DB2 or Oracle.
• IBM mainframe (MVS) tools (COBOL, TSO/ISPF, CICS, DB2, JCL).

Qualified candidates must have the following skills:
• 3+ years analysis and development.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems.
• Ability to exercise good judgment, decision making and creativity.
• Ability to readily grasp complex architectural environments.
• Ability to work from general direction in the development of detailed solutions.
• Must enjoy assisting others in supporting project needs.
• Good organizational skills.
• Experience with project life cycle methodologies.

Experience in any of the following areas is a plus:
• Familiarity with Con-way Freight SCO application
• Experience with TIBCO.
• Experience using Mercury testing tools (i.e. TestDirector/Quality Center, Quicktest and LoadRunner).
• XML Publisher, Microstrategy BI tool and/or Oracle Database.
