Experience Minimum: 4- 5 years of total IT/Consulting/domain experience
3 years of Oracle Apps experience as DBA.
Experience as Oracle Applications DBA in an implementation environment
Expertise in Oracle Applications Sysadmin activities.
Willing to work in 24*7 Support when needed
Prior experience in support projects
Excellent Knowledge of Oracle Apps modules, Oracle tools, Oracle Forms and Reports
Very good communication skills
Demonstrated aptitude for mentoring
Analytical skills a must
Essential Job Functions:
*Oracle Applications Installation
*New product installations
*Oracle E-Business Suite Expertise on 11i releases (11.5.10.2 desired)
*Oracle HRMS/Payroll
*Linux experience, RedHat ES 4.0 a plus
*Oracle E-Business on Databases 9i, 10g
*Technical knowledge about AR, GL, AP, FA, PA, HRMS, PR
*Will be involved in the daily operations of backup, tuning, monitoring, patching, cloning, and upgrades.
*Patching using adpatch
*Cloning Oracle E-Business Application Server knowledge and in depth configuration experience
*Well versed in managing concurrent managers, printer configuration, managing users, troubleshooting, & performance issues.
*Maintenance, testing and patching of different environments
*Instance Upgrades, Cloning, Patching, Performance Tuning, Server level tuning, Maintenance Support, Tablespace Management, DB Maintenance such as bouncing, purging files, etc.
*Space Management and Monitoring Backup and Recovery Services Troubleshooting & Diagnosis Sysadmin (including User management, Concurrent Manager Admin, Workflow Admin, APPL_TOP Management, Schema Analyze, Report/forms server management, Printer Setups)
*Code Migration like Code Moves and Code repository Admin
*Investigating Instance level technical issues, Oracle TAR Support
*Works closely with other groups to develop installation procedures and administration processes and guidelines for tools accessing databases.
*Performs instance monitoring, analysis, debugging, and tuning.
*Must be familiar with application system administration functionality: setup executables, users, responsibilities, concurrent programs to be able to perform system administration in absence of sysadmin.
*Be familiar with navigation through applications, Application Desktop Integrator as well as table structure for major modules (GL, AP, AR, FA,PA,HRMS,PR).
*Experience in ERP customizations and interfaces a plus.
