POSITION : Windows Systems Engineer
LOCATION : Richmond, VA

Job Discription :
Emphasis on Symantec (Veritas) Netbackup and Symantec (Veritas) Storage Foundation, knowledge of VMware;
Microsoft (Windows 2000, 2003, XP); Dell and HP PCs and servers;
knowledge of LAN/WAN technology, network/infrastructure architecture;
Cisco technology;
VoIP technology to include unified messaging.
Software proficiency -- SQL, Exchange, Web server, Active Directory, SMS, Altris, DNS, McAfee, Visio and all Microsoft Products
Primary responsibilities include data backup and restoration of Windows servers and management of the Symantec clustering software. This includes providing assistance with agency specific investigations (as they relate to the restoration of files).
Provides end-user support for the LAN/WAN environment; provides system support and maintenance; provides project planning and implementation; should be able to prioritize tasks and make hardware and software recommendations.
Educational Requirements:
A college degree in information technology and Microsoft certifications are helpful but not required. Comparable experience may be substituted.
