Quality Analyst

Reviews business requirements, functional specifications, architectural diagrams, system designs, training materials, executable code and other documentation as available to create, prepare, execute, and report the status of: test scenarios, cases and scripts (test plan and results).

Additionally reports and tracks problems, issues, and code deliveries of an application release.

Makes decisions on a daily basis within the confines of the position. Provides data, analysis, and problem research/recommendations metrics and reporting for assigned projects/applications.

Education / Experience

Experience minimum of 3-5 years QA experience and/or combined programming and QA experience preferred.

Relational Database experience and Client/Server application testing experience required.

Experience with MS Office Project, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint

Strong Interpersonal Skills

Required: working knowledge of automated testing tools (Mercury Interactive's Quality Center, Quick Test Pro, Load Runner, etc.)
Technical Skills

Ability to read and interpret requirements, specifications, designs, system documentation and other application documentation to determine the most expedient and complete means of testing the validity of processes and application system integration, as well as determining proper application behavior in an integrated environment.

Ability to identify, create, document and execute test scenarios, cases and scripts from requirements, user interviews, project team interviews, SME interviews, and project SDLC documentation.

Ability to determine and perform test setup and execution including identifying and loading all test data.

Ability to identify and test boundary behaviors/constraints.

Knowledge of SQL (3+ years -- any DB)

Knowledge of white box and black box testing methods.

Knowledge of positive and negative testing.
