Bachelor Degree in related disciple
9 years experience
Proficiency with C programming language and Object-Oriented Design (OOD)
Experience with flash file systems, XML, networking protocols and/or Ethernet switching
Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in related disciple along with 9 years experience or a Masters plus 7 years experience
Experience Required:
Proficiency with C programming language and Object-Oriented Design (OOD)
Experience with software emulators/debuggers
Embedded software development
Experience Desired:
Proficiency with multi-threaded design and/or real-time operating systems
Experience with flash file systems, XML, networking protocols and/or Ethernet switching
Experience with WindowsNT and/or Unix host environments
This position requires an active secret level security clearance.
Support of system requirements analysis and design activities and definition of software requirements
Leadership (technical and/or supervisory) of software projects through all phases of software development: requirements definition to product release. Project assignments will include:
Individual assignments
Small software projects (1-3 engineers) with expected growth to larger software projects (4+ engineers).
Develop embedded software for real-time data processing and control needs within advanced radio communication equipment. Specifically developing software components for a COMSEC module or system software package
Apply principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
Execute software development process in SEI Level 3 environment.
Consult with electrical engineers and other engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware software, and operational performance requirements of the overall system.
Perform coding and unit test of resultant software/firmware.
Develop software system testing procedures, programming and documentation.
Identify, track and repair defects
