Position Summary
As a Physical Implementation Lead, you will be responsible for taking our designs from Netlist through to GDSII. This involves applying state-of-the-art Implementation Methodologies and flows to ensure that we deliver first-time-right silicon.
Responsibilities
In this role you will be responsible for:
Floorplanning advanced designs
Timing-driven place and route
Congestion analysis and repair
Static timing and noise analysis and correction
Parasitic extraction
Physical verification (DRC/LVS)
Leading others through the physical design flow
Monitoring the work of less experienced engineers
Requirements
Bachelor of electrical or computer engineering degree or the equivalent (MS preferred)
7+ experience in physical implementation of digital devices.
At least 2 deep-Submicron Tapeouts (65 or 45nm).
Detailed knowledge of scripting languages, particularly PERL and TCL.
Extensive experience with CAD layout software; prior experience with Synopsys tools would be an advantage.
Interest in playing a variety of roles in a team.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
