Job Responsibilities
Developing reporting/BI strategies specifically around rationalizing
existing online reports to assess which reports should remain in onlines, which should be retired and which could move to a reporting
environment/datamart
Develop a transition plan to migrate from existing reporting solution to future state
Perform impact assessments to point onlines to the reporting environment instead of the OLTP environment
Identify opportunities to simplify report query methods
Basic Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience and skills in designing logical and physical schemas to support transactional system needs for large throughput
systems (using Erwin/Oracle Designer)
Experience designing reporting schemas, including de-normalized models and star schemas
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Oracle Warehouse Builder (OWB), Oracle Discoverer and Oracle 10g Reports
Working with US government organizations
Awareness of government policies related to use of Personally Identifiable Information
Very strong experience in planning and managing a Business Intelligence strategy and building a BI team.
Experience rationalizing canned reports and migrating canned reports to a data warehousing environment.
The candidate will have regular interactions with the client, requiring excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Candidate must be a US citizen and be able to pass a DHS security screening background check.
