POSITION TITLE: Senior Team Lead
LOCATION: Toronto, Downtown

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Our client is the world's leading provider of business intelligence software for accountants operating out of their open-concept, down-town Canadian Headquarters. Software development in this casual, flexible, yet fast-paced and hard-working corporate environment is a refreshing experience for those joining this growing team. They are seeking a C++ Senior Team Lead.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for building and managing a select team of software developers
- Leading your team in the capitalization of existing product lines, while developing new lines within this healthy, growing corporation
- Ensuring the quality and design of your team's code is at or above expectation
- Liaising on a regular basis with Technical Support and Quality Assurance
- Assuring that you and your team are producing clearly written and concise design and architecture documentation for use as a basis for Technical Writing and Sales related documents.
- Providing accurate time estimates and meeting scheduled deadlines.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Computer Science or Engineering degree
- Minimum 10 years Software Development
- 3-5yrs as a Developer/Architect, using C++, MFC, COM/ATL and Win32
- Strong GUI development skills
- Knowledge of financial accounting and related applications
- Sound technical knowledge in software development methodologies
- Ability to solve problems with low byte level file formats.
- Experience with relational databases (SQL Server)
- Knowledge of XML technologies (i.e. Schemas)
- Ability to multi-task, while meeting all deadlines
- Proven analytical, design, and planning skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interact with individuals at all levels within the organization, as well as with customers, clients, and the public
- Eager to participate in meetings and contribute to the overall process.
- Strong team and independent work ethic
- MCSE certification an asset
