Java Developer
Skill Set:
-5+ years Java/J2EE Architecture, Application Development, Patterns and Practices Experience
-DB2 experience ideal (any RDBMS, SQL, Oracle) - ability to access tables
-Analytical
-Experience working in public sector
-3 + years experience writing Java interfaces, conversions, and reports
-Experience in design and development of components in all tiers of Multi-tier applications utilizing the following:
* Servlets and JSPs, EJB, JDBC
* Struts Framework, Spring Framework
* WebSphere Application Server
* DB2 and other RDBMS
-Ability to work well with others
-Ability to plan and perform technical tasks within the Integrated Project Schedule
-Ability to deliver according to established expectations
-Ability to analyze test results
-Ability to identify risk and issues
Tasks:
-Verify change request development work estimates are within reasonable range of estimates for similar type tasks
-Identify gaps and deficiencies in the above verification task, make recommendations to resolve
-Design, code, and test interfaces and reports all in Java
-Create complete application documentation for interfaces and reports for the client to assume support and maintenance of the system post production go-live
