ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
This job would assist in the determining and resolving of performance issues in benchmark environments including, but not limited to finding Solaris issues / improvements, Hardware issues, and compiler tunings.
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
Benchmark running and tuning Programming (C, Perl, Scripting, Networking) Equipment and Software setup, tuning Simulation and architecture.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
Solaris / Linux internals and Performance Kernel performance Sparc, AMD and Intel hardware and performance Programming in C and scripting Strong Performance Tuning skills
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE:
Must be able to work independently in a competitive, rapidly changing environment.
