Main roles will be in obtaining/assisting optimal performance from HPC systems/clusters on variousworkloads and feedback information for changing both systems and software to continue tolead in HPC performance. Work will be on single systems, SMP's and clusters and cover awide range of applications and types of systems. HPC Applications knowledge such as MCAE,BioInformatics, Oil&Gas, MCAD.
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
experience in HPC Applications Would like familiarity with IB, myrinet, 10G and switches Assembly language programming
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
Linux/Solaris, fortran/C/C++, mpi, openMPx86(AMD and Intel)/SparcMust be able to debug programs/applicationsNeed to know how to instrument programs and use linux/solaris/microsoft hooks for instrumentationGood communication in order to give feedback to designers for improving or fixing performance
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE:
Must be able to take direction and go off and implement
