We are looking for a software engineering professional who has experience with test script development and java for a client in New York City.
** This is QA automation role and not a Java developer job.
Responsible for quality assurance testing of end-user applications during their entire development lifecycle. Automate a test suite for multiple projects. This lifecycle includes initial development and release, as well as subsequent development and modification. Duties include developing and executing automated test scripts based on project specifications to ensure delivery of high quality software. Using documented requirements and identified test scenarios, you will be responsible for creation of automated test script, execution of test scripts, analysis and reporting on test results, and reporting and tracking of defect resolution.
Required Skills: Experienced in developing and executing automated test scripts. 1-2 years Java programming experience and some knowledge of object oriented programming. Experience with altering codes; creating new complex functions. Experience with Windows and Web based application development. Strong technical and analytical skills.
Preferred: Rational Tools. Rational Functional Tester or Robot. UML. Java Framework. Eclipse.
