The ideal candidate will have experience with an IT service company and use their innate competitiveness and sense of urgency to develop new accounts and new business opportunities. This includes researching and analyzing commercial business opportunities in support of client business functions and systems requirements. The ideal candidate must also be adept at creating and following up on leads, making presentations, and closing business directly with both new and existing customers. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of the IT consulting business model and the ability to continually look for new ways to market our existing capabilities. This position will apply new and proven business process methodologies, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize commercial business opportunities.
Responsibilities
• Identify software development and IT services opportunities with new and established clients across all industries.
• Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operational requirements and goals.
• Coordinate and attend client meetings with both new prospects and existing clients.
• Maintain professional relations with customers throughout the sales cycle and ensure responsive customer service after the sale.
• Perform cold calling for new clients and identify new opportunities across a broad spectrum of industries.
• Develop sales plans and strategies to meet and exceed profitable growth targets.
• Leverage market intelligence and identify opportunities within new and existing accounts.
• Ensure sales strategy is in alignment with current business objectives.
Position Requirements
• The qualified candidate will posses 3-5 years of proven direct business-to-business sales experience.
• College diploma or university degree preferred in the field of business administration computer science, or management information systems preferred.
• Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis preferred.
• Strong consultative selling skills.
• Ability to perform internet research.
• Working knowledge Windows XP and Vista.
• Experience with core software applications such as Microsoft Office 2003 and 2007, Adobe Acrobat.
• Able to exercise independent judgment and take action on it.
• Ability to prepare written reports, correspondence and maintain accurate records.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisors, customers, and the general public.
• Excellent understanding of the organization's goals and objectives.
• Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail.
• Highly self motivated and directed.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Willing to travel >50%
Work Conditions
• Occasional evening and weekend work to meet deadlines.
• Sitting for extended periods of time.
• Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard or mouse, and to handle other computer components.
