Take your senior technical support career to a consultant level with us. IBM's I series, P series, and AS400 platforms are alive and well in our customer base. We need an expert technical support engineer to be hands on as well as help us develop our support strategy for these key clients. This is your chance to finally help define how the customer should be supported!! No more adhering to an SLA defined by someone who's never looked inside a system.
In this role you will be expected to:
Support existing clients over the phone and via email
Troubleshoot hardware and i5/OS and OS/400 issues
Escalate when necessary to field engineers
Coordinate with vendor, client, and field engineers for delivery of appropriate hardware
Document interactions with clients
Professionally manage open tickets to resolution
Serve as in house IBM OS and Hardware expert and participate on the support strategy team tasked with building the SLA
