Position Description:
AIX System Architecture and Engineering specialist required to provide technical and architectural consultancy throughout all stages of a Globus/T24 implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with a team of Business Engineers, Application Engineers and a multitude of other stakeholders, vendors, etc. to ensure that the target solution and customization and is well integrated with the bank's overall technical architecture and the surrounding systems
• Ensure that the solution is maintainable from an infrastructure, systems management, and life cycle management point of view
• Provide expertise on the integration of Globus across multiple technologies and systems
• Provide guidance on integration and migration issues
• Consult with others concerning system and/or technology integration efforts
• Design complex interfaces, integration strategies and plans
• Play a leading role in defining systems integration processes and practices
Experience and Skills Required/Desired:
Required Work Experience:
• 5+ years work experience in a Banking/Finance or in Banking Software Development Systems Architecture environment
• Previous exposure to Globus/T24 implementations desired
• Diversified experience in Application Architecture, System Analysis, Technical Design, Development, Implementation, Maintenance, Enhancement and performance tuning and testing
Desirable Work Experience:
• Experienced in implementing the various security features in the UNIX/AIX environment using LDAP like configuring user authentication
• Experience in installation, configuration, tuning, optimization, security, backup recovery and upgrades of IBM AIX, Red Hat Linux
• Developed complex shell scripts for automated installations and extracting logs
• Installation/Administration of TCP/IP, NIS/NIS+, NFS, DNS, NTP, Auto mounts, Send mail and Print servers as per the client's requirement
• Expertise in using HMC to create LPAR, DLPAR, micro partitioning
• Experienced in Tivoli Storage Management, Managing LVM and File systems, SRC and Paging space management, restore and availability, Monitoring System / Network Performance and Send mail administration
Required Technical/Business Skills and Knowledge:
• Certified AIX System Administrator with 7+ years of experience in Administration, Engineering and Development of Information Systems
• Extensive experience in installing, configuring, maintaining, design, development, implementation, and support on IBM AIX 4.3.x / 5L v 5.1/5.2/5.3(Dynamic LPARs, Micro-Partitions & Virtualization) SuSE 7.x/8.x & Red-Hat 6.0/7.0/8.0 Linux, Solaris 7/8 and Microsoft Windows 2000/NT Operating Environments
• Experience in providing production support for Globus/T24 systems, problem reporting and resolution, Installation of Temenos patches/service packs and upgrades
• Globus broad based technical experience in the areas of development, configuration, maintenance, and high level environment knowledge and understanding of the structure and architecture of Globus
• Globus development and support experience, version configuration and environment management experience is an asset
• Detailed knowledge of the majority of Globus modules in T24 R4 or later from the point of view of configuration and operation

• Operating Systems: IBM AIX (4.3, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3), Linux (Redhat/SuSe), Sun Solaris 2.5/2.6/7.0/8.0, HP-UX, Windows 03/00/NT4.0
• Hardware: IBM RS/6000, IBM p5-Series, Sun fire servers -- V1280/V2800 andV3800,Compaqservers, Sun Microsystems SPARC&ULTRA servers/workstations (U5, U10, U20, E450,E3500,E6000,E10K), IBM PCs, SCSI and IDE architectures, backup DLT tape drives, Cisco routers and switches
• Tools: HACMP, Veritas Volume Manager, Veritas NetBackup, VERITAS File System optimization
• Application Servers: Web Sphere Application Server 3.5/4.0/5.0, WebLogic4.x/6.x, Web Servers IBM HTTP Server1.3/1.2, IPlanet Web Server 5.1/6.0, Netscape Enterprise Server, IIS 4.0/5.0, Apache
• Languages: C & C++ (OPTIMIZATION), JAVA, VC++, Perl and Shell
• Programming Databases: Oracle 8i/9i, DB2, JBase, UniverseMS SQL SERVER 7.0/2000,Cognos. Networking TCP/IP, DNS, LDAP, SSH, DHCP, LAN, WAN ,ATM,FRAME RELAY,X.25,PPP,NAT & PAT, Cisco IOS, RIP, IGRP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, EBGP, firewalls and Access Lists.
Required Education and Professional Qualifications:
• Bachelors or Masters degree
