The zOS team has just taken over Network Communications software function for the mainframe platform .
The right candidate must have minimum of 10 years experience in network communications software installation and configuration on the mainframe platform.
Skills that are mandatory include:
• Thorough knowledge of SNA/VTAM, TCP/IP, NCP/EP
• Parallel Sysplex
• Enterprise Extender
• SMPE and a working knowledge of the z/OS operating system.
Desired knowledge of the following products:
• NDM/Connect Direct
• Open Systems Adapter operation and configuration
• OSA/SF
• VPS printing system and CA-Teleview session manager software.
• Also helpful to have experience in network design and architecture.
Required Experience:
• Experience in network communications software installation and configuration on the mainframe platform.
• Strong skills with MS Windows and MS Office applications, as well as mainframe networking skills.
Desired Experience:
• Experience with Sysplex Distributor configuration and management.
• Knowledge of Remedy ITSM systems.
