Currently, one of our clients in King Of Prussia is in need of a Network Engineer for a 6 month contract opportunity with possibility of permanent hire.
Job Description (Responsibilities):
This contract position will be utilized to augment staff to help meet the goals of the department. The position will require a person who is highly motivated and highly skilled in Cisco data network communications and best practices. The person selected for the position will be expected to have excellent documentation and communication skills, in depth knowledge of routing protocols such as BGP and EIGRP, and a solid understanding of the implementation of WAN and internet communications. This position will be required to work off hours where required to complete assigned projects.
Minimum Requirements:
**Five plus years of proven experience in a large enterprise or ISP Cisco based LAN/WAN environment
**Excellent large network analysis fundamentals and robust troubleshooting skills.
**Excellent IP networking fundamentals and extensive experience with IP based protocols
**Experience in the implementation and migration of large, multi carrier wide area networks.
**Experience with the implementation and migration of multi-homed internet connections.
**Extensive experience with the design, installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and monitoring of Cisco based LAN/WAN device and technologies including Cisco 6500 series switches.
**Experience in out-of-band management deployment and technologies
**In-depth knowledge of and experience with Cisco and Check Point Firewall and VPN platforms.
**Experience using Sniffer or equivalent tools to troubleshoot network problems.
**Knowledge of Data Center operations and best practices
**Proficient in the management and documentation of large and small scale projects
**Demonstrated ability to work independently under pressure in a fast paced multi-tasking environment, communicate effectively, work well with others, use productive work methods, exercise sound judgment, display initiative, and innovation on the job.
**CCIE,CCNP,or CCDP certification a plus
