We have an immediate need for a Data Warehouse Tester (QA) in our Mechanicsville, VA location.
Job Responsibilities:
The candidate will be responsible for data warehouse testing and enterprise reporting. Primary responsibilities include designing / developing test strategy and plans, and executing test scripts.
- Data Warehouse specific test experience: 2-3 years
- QA/Test experience: 3-4 years.
- Test Automation Skills: 2-3 years
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Test Lead - participates in all areas of testing and maintenance, providing technical QA expertise.
- Participates in production promotion activities
- Participates in the requirements process with the user community on UAT definition and develops detailed documentation to facilitate transition from ST to UAT.
- Helps troubleshoot and resolve issues regarding project implementation.
Required Skills
- Experience with Informatica and Business Objects
- Advanced Working Knowledge of Quality Center. Extensive experience in using Test Script Repository, Test Execution, Defect Reporting, Tracking and Resolution capabilities.
- Excellent skills in communicating test results and ability to work with other teams responsible for supporting test issue resolution.
- Ability to deliver results under pressure.
- Have a strong aptitude for accuracy and must be detail
oriented. Strong trouble shooting, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Works well with others and communicates well.
Desired Skills:
Expectation is that the candidate has specific experience in Data Quality validation and working knowledge in relational databases (ORACLE preferred) and SQL.
Minimum Education:
B.S. in Computer Science or Equivalent
