SHORT SCOOP: 3+ yrs analysis and hands-on integrated manufacturing exp with 1+ yr project management; Citrix, HP-UX, Progress, SQL and process or metals background preferred.
SUMMARY:
The Process Business Analyst is the subject matter expert pertaining to all aspects of the Axiom system, including its functionality and limitations. He/she performs various business functions including quotes, sales, manufacturing, QA, shipping, invoicing, and the A/R business cycle.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Maintains and implements new ERP/Axiom functionality
* Translates user business needs into functional system requirements
* Makes suggestions for process changes or system enhancements
* Reports software problems and follows up with resolution
* Works closely with ERP Manager, analysts, and users to provide documentation, training, and guidance of system
* Continually strives to promote more effective use of the system
* Installs, tests, and documents new modules/functionality
* Plans and coordinates upgrade process (migration of custom programming, test plans, training, followup)
* Works with management and other IT staff to integrate Axiom ERP functionality with other business systems as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's degree in business, IS --OR-- equivalent exp
* 3+ yrs hands-on exp with integrated manufacturing system(s)
* 1+ yr project management exp preferred
* Exp with a multilocation manufacturing system implementation
* Knowledge of or exp with metals or process industry strongly preferred
* Specific exp with Axiom ERP system strongly preferred
* Business systems analysis or software development exp a plus
* Hands-on exp with Progress Database or Progress 4GL development a plus
* Exposure to accounting/costing systems or accounting background a plus
* Strong organizational and communication skills
* Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
* Willingness to travel (up to 25%).
