Sirius Computer Solutions, a 27-year old, nationwide provider of integrated enterprise server, storage, and software solutions, and the nation's largest IBM Premier Business Partner, has an immediate opportunity for an experienced J2EE Developer to join the team in our Salt Lake City development center.
The selected candidate will have a strong desire to work with leading edge Java technologies, and be able to move flexibly between different project roles including analysis, design, programming, testing and documentation. This consulting position will require some travel to customer locations (on average, 10%, but can be up to 25% at times) and may perform both on-site and off-site work.

Knowledge and Skills:
• Strong J2EE development skills -- minimum 5 years experience
• Eclipse - based IDE experience required
• Recent experience using JavaServer Faces, Struts and/or other MVC web frameworks
• Experience with Rational Host Access Transformation Services (HATS) software highly desirable
• Previous experience with RPG programming highly desirable
• Hands-on experience with one or more of the following: WebSphere Message Broker, WebSphere ESB and/or WebSphere Process Server preferred
• Java 1.2 or later certification preferred
• Application Server experience required (WebSphere Application Server preferred)
• Experience with any of: FileNet; CM8; Domino; WebSphere Portal or WebSphere Commerce a plus
• Must have experience developing enterprise-level Java applications, from initial requirements gathering to roll-out of the new system
• Must have experience as a part of an application development team that included developers, testers, QA/QC personnel, and project management personnel
• Willing to participate in research and review activities to determine new or best methods of proceeding on projects
• Ability to maintain design documents and specifications which will be presented to the customer/client
• Ability to troubleshoot and identify potential problems and make appropriate changes as necessary
• Ability to work closely with clients and deal with them in a professional manner
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to speak with enthusiasm and confidence in order to retain customers and garner respect of staff
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Previous experience in consulting or an environment with similar challenges
Education:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Travel:
• Travel to various client locations required -- on average 10%, but can range up to 25%
• Current driver's license required
• Air travel capability required
