The Technology Solution Manager (TSM) is primarily responsible for delivering projects as required by his/her management in a way that serves frog and has minimal unnecessary impact on the organization. A TSM is responsible for effective communication and day-to-day project management - capable of dealing not only with their team members to accomplish their project but also with senior and executive management to ensure their active support and direction. A TSMs primary role is to ensure that people at all levels within and around the project environment are doing their best to enable to project to be successful from a frog technology team perspective.
The TSM is expected to contribute to projects by enabling continuous builds, traceability, and issue tracking. The TSM also appropriately delegates or escalates technical issues and writes software system requirements specifications. TSMs are also involved in evaluating deliverables to ensure established requirements are met.
To be considered, candidates must show success in software project management and have industry domain experience in mobile applications -- particularly in BREW, Symbian (UIQ or Nokia Series 60), or Microsoft Mobile.
Role:
* Daily management of a large-scale or enterprise-level technology project particularly one that involves long-term relationship building with a strategic client.
* Primary tech team point of contact on projects with Program Management, Design and Strategy: drive projects involving Clients + Aricent using agile development techniques.
* Lead and author software and system requirements for a project by combining design, business and technology criteria in a format that is traceable from a project management perspective. The requirements should also be leverage able by anyone participating in an ongoing project.
* Contribute best practices from projects towards knowledge base collateral: case studies and reference deliverables
* Technology go-to person for ongoing project status, issues, escalation, and scope changes.
* 75-100% billable
* 30-60% travel
* Reports to a Technology Director and works very closely with a Technology Architect.
Qualifications:
* 6+ years professional experience with software applications with a rich presentation layer on various platforms/domains
* Experience with project managing teams involving: architects, software engineers, partner/client developers, and QA
* Experience with project management tools
* Experience with distributed teams
* Excellent technical writing and verbal communications
* Experience and training in Agile software development methodologies
* College education in the sciences, engineering, or a creative discipline. Masters degree preferred.
* MS or MBA with project management certification and training preferred
