Architectural Review and Advisement (Specialist II)
We are currently in need of an Architectural Review and Advisement (Specialist II) to join our project team. This is a contract.
Responsibilities
• Work closely with the project manager selected through this bid process to identify and report on software and hardware architecture issues that pose significant risk to timely receipt of deliverables.
• Report on software and hardware architecture that specifies functionality, relationships between components, and current state in product life cycles.
• Report on application of best practices as relates to developing and supporting the software and hardware architecture.
• Identify opportunities for improving software and hardware architecture.
• Work closely with the project manager to assess business impact of architecture upgrades and changes.
Duration of Engagement.
Architectural review and advisement to be a part time, ongoing engagement, commencing upon award of this contract. The total contractor effort needed for architectural review and advisement to be approximately 260 hours in the first year and approximately 180 hours in years 2 and 3,for an estimated total of 620 hours.
Mandatory Requirements:
• Minimum of four years of experience providing technical oversight and advisement regarding the hardware and software architecture utilized for medium to large scale information technology projects
• Contractor will provide a minimum of two (2) and a maximum of four (4) references for each consultant that is being recommended for the project. The references must be from within the last 24 months and must provide first hand knowledge of the consultant's ability to perform the type of services requested in this Project Definition.
Desirable Requirements
• Experience providing technical oversight and advisement regarding the software and hardware architecture for medium to large-scale Business Intelligence/Reporting projects.
