MERIDIAN Technology Group is seeking a Data Analyst JW6550 with advanced knowledge of system analysis concepts, techniques and tools. Must have experience with SQL, PL/SQL and data analysis modeling techniques and tools. Must also have experience with relational database technology (Oracle, DB2, MS Access). Knowledge of technology frameworks based on object-relational mapping and MetaData concepts and tools, data warehousing and dimensional modeling required. Experience with data mapping, data conversions and object-oriented analysis and design concepts also required. Experience working on large projects, and leading small teams preferred.
You will lead and perform the analysis of data requirements for projects and on-going application enhancements integrating them with multi-function, division or enterprise data models. Develop conceptual and logical data models that are implementation independent and meet the business requirements. Identify and document data conversion rules, and the interactions between data and business processes. Participate in and lead logical data model reviews. Lead and perform the design, development and maintenance of physical data models for projects and on-going application enhancements integrating them with multi-function, division or enterprise data models. Write and execute DDL to create tables, indexes, triggers, constraints and privileges. Ensure data integrity, security and performance through review of physical data models against application processing, system design and architectural standards. Lead and perform the design and execution of DML test plans. Lead and perform database-related testing in conjunction with other application testing efforts. Coordinate the implementation of database objects into production. Support development teams, including consulting on the design and execution of all data-related tasks. Support the resolution of production application data problems. Recommend improvements to or replacement of application databases, data modeling tools and data processes. Identify AS-IS data conditions by writing and executing complex SQL. Contribute to data cleansing and conversion efforts by writing and maintaining Oracle procedures, functions, and packages.
