Casino Careers Online has a client seeking a candidate for an MIS Assistant position.
The position description is as follows:
Summary:
The MIS Assistant works with the MIS Manager in continuous implementation, development, and maintenance of computer hardware, software, and peripherals located in the Hotel Resort.
Major Responsibilities/Activities:
-Consult with the MIS Manager to analyze computer hardware and software needed for end users to successfully perform there duties.
-Plan, coordinate, and implement with MIS Manager end user computer hardware upgrades, software upgrades and installs.
-Provides technical support to end users and responds to helpdesk tickets regarding computer and telecom needs in a timely manner.
-Holds training courses for end users, training them on how to use the computer hardware and software.
-Make sure all end user computer equipment is clean and dust free.
-Maintain wire management at the user's station and MIS IDF rooms.
-Install and set up new users with computer hardware, and phone.
-Install and set up software needed by user.
-Keep all computer systems and hardware inventoried and labeled.
-Follow all procedures during computer builds and set ups.
-Update and create procedures as needed.
-Assist the System Administrator with wire pulls, troubleshooting, etc? when asked by Management or System Administrator.
-Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum Requirements
BS in Information Technologies or related field preferred. Will substitute experience on a year for year basis.
Two (2) years work experience in the computer science field desirable with specialized work in casino related computer systems and software preferred.
Experience with the following are a must:
-Microsoft Windows XP
-Microsoft Office Products
-Computer Troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance.
-Understanding of computer components.
-Excellent communication skills verbal and written.
-Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Experience with the following are desirable:
-Unix
-AS400
-Linux
-Crystal Reporting
