We are looking for a software engineer with 5+ years developing embedded, real-time applications for a client in Milwaukee.
Compensation: Full-time, permanent position with a base salary of $80-95,0000. Solid Benefits. Local candidates preferred. Relocation assistance is offered to those with ties to the greater Milwaukee area.
Will engage customers for the purpose of requirements capture and proposal estimations. Architect solutions by directly contributing to the creation and development of product concepts, operating processes, and the implementation of technical solutions. Develops working prototypes. Test the
integration of equipment and systems. Help define and implement product deployment activities. Plan and schedule projects, tests, and changes to optimize utilization while meeting established time scheduled and budgets. Prepare periodic status reports and recommendations. Provide work direction
to project team including less experienced engineers and technicians. Prepare product documentation, operating instructions, and review related technical literature. May serve as the staff expert for all decisions related to a specific product, process, or application
Required Skills: Technical bachelors degree and 5+ years experience developing embedded, real-time applications in C, C++, and assembly. Familiarity in use of a variety of electronic test equipment including DMM and oscilloscope.
Self-starter, independent worker
Pluses: Technical graduate degree. Knowledge of building automation systems (BAS). BACnet, LON, OPC, TCP/IP, .NET, XML, ODBC and Java. SCADA, Access Control and Security.
