Responsibilities:
• Evaluates and trouble-shoots manufacturing processes.
• Analyzes, designs and develops processes, tools, equipment necessary to produce vascular products in a lean manufacturing environment.
• Implements and qualifies production equipment and methods.
• Generates testing protocols and reports.
• Works closely with team members to support the successful completion of all development project activities, defining, developing, verifying and validating products for successful commercialization.
• Applies fundamental engineering principles to create practical solutions to technical challenges and provide technical support across functions; and establishes equipment specifications and requirements in the development of new equipment or improvements to existing equipment.
• Develops design and process failure mode and effects documents.
• Manages process validation activities, including writing protocols and reports, prepares master validation plans and reports, addresses deviations and non-conformities, and makes statistically valid conclusions; and develops testing equipment and methods for product/assembly/component testing.
Qualifications:
• BS degree in Mechanical or Materials Engineering
• Knowledge of mechanics of materials and strong problem solving skills
• ISO/GMP training and project management/leadership skills
• Experience with statistical and analytical methods and strong mechanical design skills including test methods and test-fixture design required
• Minimum 3 years medical device experience
