Our client is seeking a project manager to manage new client deployments. The project manager will be responsible for the entire deployment process including system engineering, scheduling, facilitating installation at client site, configuring client-specific data and system settings, training and acceptance testing. This position will also be responsible for managing client relationships and assisting with client support when appropriate. This position reports to the Client Services Manager.
You must be an exceptional customer service and communication skills including, knowing how to listen effectively, know how to ask questions, know how to provide information in a way that it is easily understood by your audience, and most of all, a deep enthusiasm for what you do. Personal characteristics required are being self-directed, self-motivated, able to work with little direction, take initiative, able to set and execute on your own goals & work plans, and play your role as a vital member of the team.
What the PM will do:
* Client walk-through with the sales engineer whether in-person or over the phone to understand the client's needs.
* Builds relationship with client IT staff and facilities manager to uncover:
* Get system requirements
* Order systems and follow-up on changes and delivery
* Decide what's best for client, leasing or purchasing equip, then negotiating the cost
* Configure systems with the aid of the deployment specialist
* Determine system requirements, such as: does security need to be 24X7 or only certain hours; motion detection or not; where to station the cameras; type of cameras.
* Manage the system implementation to completion
Requirements
* 2+ years project management experience
* 1 - 2 years experience in a technical role in IT, support, administration or development touching any of the following
* Linux or Windows
* TCP/IP networking, network security and firewalls
* Physical security hardware (cameras, access panels, etc)
* Proficient with the MS Office suite of products
* BA/BS or equivalent work experience
* A valid driver's license and a registered vehicle
Nice to have's
* Experience in creating and implementing processes
* Experience with MS Project and Visio
