Position: Website Designer
Reporting to: Director of Marketing
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Website Designer is responsible for designing and assisting in the development of the NOTION Music website, keeping information current on the site and creating interactive demonstrations. Please include a link to your online portfolio with your application for the position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
•Web Design:
oDesign and update our NOTIONMUSIC.COM website, web store and sub-sites.
oImplement animations and interactive features in Flash
oCreate graphics for the site
oFront-end web development
oStay up-to-date on the newest trends in e-commerce and Web marketing
oCreate and informative and community driven web environment
•Marketing Responsibilities:
oRecommend future web design/feature improvements
oUse web analytics to make recommendations on web/e-commerce strategy
oSet strategic direction of newsletter based on subscriber interest
oAssist in copy strategy for web
oWebsite community experience by user type/market segment
REQUIREMENTS
•BS/BA from an accredited university
•3+ years in web design
•Talented in graphics design
•Front-end web development experience/knowledge: HTML, DHTML, CSS, JavaScript, Flash, web standards
•Well-organized, detail oriented
•Technology and business savvy
•Strong written communication skills
•Comfortable with fast-paced, start-up environment
•Strong sense of urgency and accountability
