Casino Careers Online has a client seeking a candidate for an Applications Specialist position.
The position description is as follows:
SUMMARY:
This is a professional technical position. The individuals selected are expected to maintain professional appearance and conduct at all times. They are expected to continue their technical educations and make positive recommendations that demonstrate their growing knowledge of the gaming industry as practiced at the Gaming Property.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-Supports all gaming, point-of-sale and other revenue generating software as assigned.
-Performs daily and monthly backups of assigned systems.
-Establishes and maintains user permissions in assigned systems.
-Performs system troubleshooting.
-Maintains system hardware as assigned.
-Provides technical support to the user community.
-Strictly adheres to the Gaming Property's Internal Controls, as well as IT department policies and procedures.
-Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements:
GAMING INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE IS PREFERRED
KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge and Certification Required:
-At least 21 years of age
-High School Diploma or GED
-Four (4) years job related experience or Information technology training and two (2) years job related experience
Preferred:
-Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university
-Possess a intermediate level of Sequel
-Knowledge of DB2 databases
-Knowledge of gaming software
-Knowledge of point of sale systems
-Knowledge of AIX
Skills Required:
-Excellent verbal communication skills
-Excellent written communication skills
Abilities Required:
-Ability to work with minimum supervision
-Ability to analyze complex problems
-Ability to think logically and follow instructions
