POSITION TITLE: Training and Support Specialist
LOCATION: Montreal
DURATION: Full-Time, Permanent
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Training and Support Specialist will join the Montreal Team which focuses on developing a suite of customized crew planning, management, and optimization solutions that balance airline interests with those of planners and crew members.
The principal responsibilities of the Training and Support Specialist are to create, maintain and update training documents and materials and train customers on the functional use of our software. The Training Specialist has to collaborate namely with programmer analysts, the account managers, the product manager and clients from different cultures and at different levels in an organization. The training specialist also provides rapid and efficient after-sales technical support to our clients and ensures customer satisfaction. S/he is part of the Services Team and reports to the Customer Support Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Technical Support:
- Analyzes and understands our customer's collective agreements and business processes.
- Supports customers in understanding how the software relates to their business processes.
- Provides technical support (via telephone and e-mail) for software use and troubleshooting, including assistance during the production cycle.
- Provide after business hours phone support for customer questions.
- Manages and follows-up on customers' problems or inquiries in a timely manner.
- Provides continuous feedback to customers.
Training:
- Creates and maintains training documents for customers.
- Tailors training to customers' needs.
- Trains the customer on the functional use of the software.
- Provides recurrent training to existing customers.
- Provides customer specific training to employees and new hires.
Product and Service Development:
- Assists with the development and the implementation of procedures, methods and tools to improve customer satisfaction.
- Participates in the negotiation of maintenance release contents and timing with the software development team, the testing team and the customer.
- Actively and persistently advocates on the customer's behalf within the business unit, bringing the customer's concerns and issues to the attention of management so they get resolved in a timely fashion.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Computers or the equivalent.
- Minimum five years experience training complex enterprise software.
- Bilingual (French and English) both written and oral.
- An excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word.
- Effective, confident, outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
- Exceptional presentation skills.
- Willing and able to travel to different parts of the world.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Experience in the airline industry is a definite asset.
