We are looking for two (2) seasoned trainers who possess excellent communication, business analysis and team building skills.

The short listed candidates will be asked to do a short presentation (5-10 minutes) of a prior application/class they have trained as revealed on their resume. Part of this presentation could be an introduction plus some basic features about the application/class.

Client will require a seven year criminal/financial background check after the consultant is selected and before s/he can start.

In-person interviews are required.

Anticipated start: 6/23/2008

Mandatory skills:
- Atleast 2 yrs Technical training in class room setup
- ATLEAST ONE EXAMPLE OF TRAINING /TEACHING DOCUMENTATION AND/OR SIMILAR TECHNICAL DOCUMENTATION AUTHORED BY THE CANDIDATE
- Strong skills using MS Powerpoint, MS Outlook 2007 OWA, outlook 2003

The project details:

State agency is in the process of moving from an antiquated email system to MS Outlook 2007. The plan is to train up to 24,000 users throughout the state on the MS Outlook 2007 email system. A large percentage of the users will be trained in Outlook Web Access (OWA), "thin client". A smaller percentage of users will be trained on the full blown Outlook 2003 system, "thick client".

The consultant is to expedite the rollout of this new system to 24,000 users around the state within a 2-year timeframe. Consultant will initially travel with state staff to do some analysis work in preparation for the rollout of the new email system to each one of the DDSO's. The candidates will learn and come up with a generic training plan. Then, the consultant staff will train end-users on these systems by themselves or with other members of the training group, whether state or contract staff.

Specific tasks include:
Prior to training at a site (DDSO), the candidate may do some analyst work at the site to gather information on the training needs of the site. Come up with a schedule for bringing new users onto the new email system. Establish communication amongst the various training units (IMS, DDSO's and Vendors) and the DDSO sites.
* Working as a team in providing email training on this system to state staff at the DDSO sites.
* Working with team members in learning and keeping abreast of any new changes in documentation and training procedures.
* Assist with documentation; updating existing training materials and or assisting with creation of new training materials

NOTE: Extensive travel is anticipated. Expenses incurred while in travel status will be reimbursed using the New York State not to exceed rates. Original Receipts will be required for reimbursement.
