The Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) Architect will be responsible for providing architecture design solutions for corporate application integration infrastructure and applications. The Architect will create all EAI infrastructure and application design artifacts for projects that impact EAI and ensure that all designs adhere to the standards for EAI.
Activities in the position include:
Define and create components of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). Framework.
Utilize SDLC artifacts for EAI architecture and design.
Utilize data mapping tools to create complex data maps and data translations between existing back office systems and SOA canonical data model.
Utilize data modeling tools for architecture designs.
Participate in SDLC review & approval activities.
Participate in code reviews.
Provide technical leadership and architecture consultation for EAI designers and developers.
Communicate effectively with technical and business team members and EAI management.
Act as a technical lead on medium to large EAI projects.
Provide mentoring to less experienced members of team.
Identify and implement EAI process and design improvement opportunities.
Track technology-related developments relevant to the corporation, the industry, and SOA and share with team.
Review/recommend corporate technology standards and best practices in the EAI area.
Instruction or Supervision Received
This position requires little supervision. To a high degree the Architect utilizes his knowledge and experience to interact with corporate back office systems management, clients of EAI Services and technical staff within EAI to make appropriate decisions.
Supervisory Responsibility
Indirect supervisory responsibility to mentor less experienced designers and developers to help them understand the technology, architecture, framework and process utilized by EAI.
