Job Summary

In this role, the Web Content Engineer will work with members of our marketing and product development departments regarding website layout and content. The Engineer will develop interfaces for web-based applications and maintain related corporate and product websites by creating and updating both static and dynamic templates for a variety of uses, such as customer support forms, marketing promotions, and the display of user account information.

Furthermore, our company's products and websites are translated into over 15 written languages. The Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that new features and updates to our websites and applications work properly in all supported languages and browsers.

Responsibilities:

Working closely with our Graphic Design and Development departments, you will transform finished graphical conceptualizations into the functional graphical elements for websites, online promotions, and web applications, including elements requiring language translation and localization.

In addition, you will develop the necessary graphical elements, HTML code, and client-side JavaScript for the user interfaces on our gaming clients, and marketing and corporate websites. This includes the incorporation of multi-lingual and localization attributes within all user interfaces.

Periodically, you may also conduct research on other gaming properties and competing gaming products to keep abreast of technologies and popular tastes in the graphical aspects of the market and assist in other projects or initiatives as necessary within the department

Experience Required:

The following criteria are required:

• 2-6 years of web design or development experience
• Strong working knowledge of HTML
• Strong working knowledge of CSS
• JavaScript
• Cross-browser compatibility testing
• Microsoft Windows and Office
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and to work with other product development disciplines (i.e. QA, marketing, product management)
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• B.S. degree in Engineering, Communications, or related course of study

Knowledge of the following areas a plus:

• Content management systems
• Source control systems (i.e. Perforce)
• Unix or Linux
• Photoshop
• Basic understanding of Perl or other scripting languages
• Multiple character sets and bi-directional typefaces; Unicode (UTF8)
