Responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of Internet applications and servers. Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Specifies, designs and implements needed modifications to and extensions of Internet related hardware and software systems, Develops and implements strategies to build new Internet capabilities and systems for all areas of KLRU, Maintains, secures, and optimizes Linux VPS, Assists and makes recommendations to the Webmaster in the evaluation of services, tools, technology and value of all third party online services.
Required Knowledge and Skills are: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, At lease 2 years of experience in Internet systems and new media design and analysis, Experience with Web technologies such as PHP, mySQL, XML, RSS and CSS, Ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, Ability to work well with various internal and external teams, Great attention to detail, Ability to work independently with little supervision.
Preferred Knowledge and Skills: 5 years of experience in computer/Web systems design and analysis, 5 years hands-on experience with technical design, maintenance, and management of consumer-focused web sites, Five years experience translating customer needs into technical specifications and working Web sites, Knowledge of Flash and new media technologies
