Principal Architect -- Enterprise Application Integration
Our client is a leading provider of global supply chain solutions.

Position Description
General Description:
The Integration Architect should have experience with Middleware / EAI tools and technologies such as WebMethods, Websphere Message Broker, SeeBeyond, MQ Series, etc.
Experience with SAP and/or Oracle Integration is highly desired. The ideal candidate may also have experience with XML and XSLT or any other ERP-branded integration tools such as SAP XI or SAP's Business Connector.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Looking for a candidate with a keen interest in researching and evaluating the latest technology in industry.
Responsible for the design, development, testing and/or support of a significant part of a complex software system (or database).
Provides technical leadership to a small group of software engineers and/or DBAs
Develops detailed design specifications for multiple areas of a software system (or database)
Becomes familiar with all dependencies, interfaces and services required by most areas of the software system
Determines optimal and efficient designs for multiple areas of the software system
Leads development of multiple areas of the software system from detailed design specifications
Develops and unit tests assigned software areas following R&D development processes
Estimates and plans own work and the work of others in the group
Becomes the resident expert across multiple areas of the system
Evaluates software (or configuration) issues with many areas of the system and resolves them in a timely manner
Implements changes to system assuring the changes do not introduce new issues
Keeps abreast of improvements in software techniques and develop some improvements on your own
Facilitates technology and skills knowledge transfer within the team and beyond
Ensures proper documentation is completed for all work
Position Requirements
Typically requires BS/BA or higher in Computer Science or related field
5+ years of Middleware / Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) experience
Must have experience with WebMethods, Websphere Message Broker, SeeBeyond, or any other EAI products
ERP Integration experience is highly desired (Oracle or SAP preferred)
Previous software development experience is highly desired (Java and/or Open Systems preferred)
Experienced professional contributor with responsibility for an advanced area of work in Integration Architecture.
Experience with large enterprise deployments is desirable
Performance Engineering experience is desirable
Interfacing experience is desirable
Client facing exposure and professional services support is desirable
Candidate should also be familiar with development methodologies such as RUP.
A good understanding of databases is desirable. (DB2, Oracle, SQL Server)
