Java J2EE Developer

We are looking for a software developer to participate in all phases of developing large-scale solutions which support a proprietary business system. The role includes the derivation and definition of high and low level system requirements, system design, implementation, and test support during each phase of the project. Regular contact with interdisciplinary teams to develop user-centric solutions is expected. Position will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, maintaining, and documenting software as defined by business requirements. Position will be expected to support end user training on solutions provided. Well-informed group decisions are made quickly across technical, organizational and potentially geographic boundaries without travel costs. Candidate will comply with the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle to support the generation of technical solutions. Candidate will be expected to demonstrate initiative as an as active member of project team, seek out mentorship, listen to mentor, and meet own project execution commitments. Additionally, candidate will be expected to demonstrate leadership by applying knowledge effectively in a team environment and be willing to accept and integrate constructive feedback. Individual will be required to demonstrate creativity, ownership of solutions, self-motivation, a desire to learn, and ability to implement strategic technological solutions. Individual must be willing to share and expand knowledge in domain of expertise. Individual will be expected to accept and solve technical problems assigned by performing technical planning, system integration, verification and validation. Individual will participate in development of technical strategies and teaming strategies on multiple projects. Strong interpersonal listening, written and verbal communication skills are required.
Specific Knowledge: BS Degree in a software engineering or equivalent experience. BSCS, BSCE, BSEE or related discipline and minimum of 4 years experience. Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills as well as the ability to work in a team environment is required. Proficiency in Java, Servlets, JavaScript, HTML, object-oriented, Java Server Pages (JSP), JSTL, Swing, HTML, XML, and XSLT methodologies is required. Working knowledge of Sun Solaris, and Windows is required. Sun Certified Programmer for Java 2 Platform is strongly desired. Working experience with Oracle database programming using SQL statements and stored procedures is required. Responsibilities will include designing, coding, testing and documenting Web-deployed Intranet applications using Java, Servlets and JSP. Additional Required Skills: MS Project, Excel, Word, Struts, JMS, JMX, EJB, SOAP, JBoss, ClearCase, Ant, ClearQuest, UML. Applicant must be a US citizen
