Software Engineer
Orlando, FL
6-12 months +
Candidate will work as a Software Engineer in Orlando performing full lifecycle software engineering on modeling, simulation and training programs. This position requires detailed design, implementation and test of software as well as planning, development and test of software systems and software applications as directed by senior engineering staff. Significant individual contributions, team leadership, appropriate application of robust flexible processes and technical proposal support are required. Demonstrated experience working within a project group and communicating with internal and external customers is required.
Specific Knowledge: BS Degree in computer science, computer engineering or electrical engineering. Candidate must have 3 to 5 years prior software development experience in design and implementation of software systems and software applications. Candidate must have a working knowledge of C++, the latest Microsoft Visual C++ development environment, Object Oriented Design and software design architectures. Knowledge and working experience with the S2Focus simulation toolkit is required along with experience with both DIS and HLA simulation protocols. Knowledge of software compilation and link processes is also required. Knowledge of configuration management and CMMI software metrics is desired. Must be able to travel 20% of the time. Applicant must be a US citizen and capable of obtaining a US Security Clearance
