Casino Careers Online has a client seeking a candidate for an I S Database Analyst position.
The position description is as follows:
Job Summary: Facilitate database solutions for the users and network systems. Primary position and responsibility for business data handling, conversion, migration, reporting, modeling and architecture manipulation needs for gaming property systems.
Employee Reports To: Information Systems Director or designee
Specific Duties Performed:
-Set up and maintain new accounts, access privileges, security modifications, and authentication levels for users to required data locations.
-Engineer and maintain structure and record security for approved production databases used by company departments.
-Assist users with developing mathematical formulas, for development and use within spreadsheets and databases.
-Interview users to validate needs, design database solutions for specific department or business requirements.
-Perform periodic maintenance using vendor specific processes, for tuning databases stored and run on network servers.
-Assists with server installations with initial database configuration and security. Develop procedure reporting on the installation and configuration process.
-Design database relationships across multiple server platforms, work with Network Administrator(s) to establish connectivity between applications and data housed on its intended system.
-Assess existing designs of databases, apply techniques to continuously improve logical design, performance, and presentation of data entry.
-Apply methods for data migration from any database source, design automated processes for conversions and report writing when required.
-Augment the support role of Information Systems, with assisting in PC setups and user assistance when needed.
Requirements:
EDUCATION:
-High School Diploma or GED required. (Copy of either document must be submitted with application)
SKILLS:
-Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to communicate with team members and end users.
-Ability to adapt, administrate, and provide instruction on new technology pertaining to client-server concepts.
-Ability to work with a technical team, and assume responsibility for the company data handling and database management needs.
EXPERIENCE:
-Minimum of two (2) years experience with design and development, coding, security, and distribution of production Microsoft Access databases.
-Minimum of two (2) years experience with Windows NT/2000/XP Workstation and server networking fundamentals.
-Minimum of one (1) year experience with reports using industry or enterprise level report writing software applications.
-Minimum of one (1) year experience with PC hardware, software, printers, PC component repair and replacement.
-Minimum of one (1) year working experience with maintaining and troubleshooting devices in a client-server environment.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
-Must be able to relate and convert highly detailed technical information into short, concise, and understandable terms the customer can understand.
-Will be responsible for the deliverance of the highest level of customer service to guests, VIP's, and co-workers.
-Must attend mandatory guest service training.
-Must successfully complete and pass a National Indian Gaming Commission background investigation.
-Must be able to obtain a Class III certification, and be licensed, with the Washington State Gambling Commission and the Tribal Gaming Agency.
-Must be available to work any shift assigned to include days, swing, grave, weekends, and/or holidays.
-Must have a successful employment history with the Tribes and/or other employers.
