The candidate will have previous experience in ASP, ASP.Net, and SQL Server with real world experience in enterprise-level software. You should be able to work in an ever evolving environment, where quick learning and adaptability will be crucial to your success. This role will require a strong ability to estimate your work, work with other web and database developers, and then manage your tasks through the project.
Key Responsibilities:
Understanding business requirements and translation of those into technical requirements
Research, design and implementation of web and database applications
Architectural recommendations
Development process specification and monitoring
Test plan development
System tuning and optimization
Required Skills & Experience:
3-5 years experience in software development
Experienced ASP/ASP.Net programmer with object-oriented analysis, design, and application development expertise
Good experience with SQL and general database concepts
XML/XSL experience
Experience working in a full System Development Life Cycle, creating process, and working with Agile Methodologies
Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Works well within a team environment; able to carry task through to completion.
Assets:
SOAP and/or Web Service experience
Experience with stored procedures
Experience converting ASP applications to ASP.Net
Experience in large scale system software or an architecture role would be a definite asset.
C++ experience
Education:
Computer Science Degree, technical diploma, or equivalent experience.
