The Kensho Group has been tasked to identify an outstanding Manufacturing Diagnostic Development Engineer for this dynamic and high profile Global WAN Optimization and Security Hardware / Software Solutions provider. Job Description:
Drive ODMs' and/or external diagnostic SW vendors to develop and deliver a scalable solution for company's platform diagnostics. Ensure that the solution comprehends company platform roadmap, customer (internal & external) usage models, and accessibility and security constraints while catering to all troubleshooting and failure analysis requirements during the entire company product life cycle.
Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for developing & maintaining critical requirement specifications for outsourced development of Diagnostics.
2. Capable of evaluating skill set of a diagnostic development team at an ODM and/or outsourced development team.
3. Driving schedule for diagnostics development directly with the ODMs against focused priorities to meet product lifecycle milestones.
4. Own and develop the diagnostics validation process and sign off on the release of the code.
5. Provide guidance to the program team on best approaches for schedule, coverage and cost for diagnostic development.
6. Provide key insight into appropriate customization requirements, unique to the Company.
7. Provide a roadmap to internal engineering, support, manufacturing, test & QA on diagnostics development that will align with the product roadmap.
Required Skills:
1. Experience with coding using assembly and C.
2. Capable of generating automation scripts for customizing diagnostics.
3. Capability of creating a detailed spec. and getting buy in w/o significant supervision.
4. Understanding the goals of cross functional teams as it relates to requirements for diagnostics.
5. Dealing with outsourced vendors for development.
6. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
7. Independent and motivated self starter, who can work in a fast paced environment as a productive team member.
8. Spoken & written Mandarin is desired but not required.
Education and Experience:
1. BSEE, BSCS or equivalent. MS preferred.
