Several Business Analyst positions available with the following requirements.
Description:
Responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to:
· Work with the business units to define requirements, design, develop, and implement business intelligence solutions throughout the Agency
· Recommend and participate in setting strategic direction for Business Intelligence implementations
· Design, plan, manage, and track BI implementations
· Direct IT teams through installation of new BI products and transition from existing BI products
· Participate in the support of BI applications with IT applications and technical staff
· Develop and maintain management-level documentation of installed BI applications
· Conduct/participate in meetings with IT staff as relates to BI
· Working with the business on defining and designing business application solutions and reporting solutions in the area of sales and marketing
· Align data architecture and reporting strategies to business objectives
· Analyze and document business rules, business processes, process flows, and business requirements
· Transform system requirements into a design
· Analyze/identify data and metadata requirements
Required background:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline with an information technology focus
Minimum 3 years of progressive broad based information systems experience; experienced in software engineering involving development and testing of application
3 years of experience in the application development process, including the definition of business requirements, functional designs, and user acceptance test scripts.
3 years Experience in building user scenarios, use cases, process flow diagrams/descriptions, business requirements documents, functional design documents
2 years experience defining business requirements for object-oriented web-based software applications
Demonstrated successful written and verbal communication skills (capable of writing and presenting complex technical concepts to users)
Additonal desired skills/background:
Proven experience in user interface design, database design, application design, testing, conversion, implementation
Demonstrated knowledge of Six Sigma, CMM, or similar methodologies.
2 Years coordinating business analysis (BA) and Business Process Re-engineering efforts within a government organization
2 years experience and comprehensive knowledge of client server and web architecture.
Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical area
