MocoSpace, a venture funded mobile community, is seeking an innovative and passionate Web Designer for our web site, marketing projects, and sales materials. Since starting in 2005, MocoSpace has grown to one of the largest sites on the mobile internet with over 600 million monthly pageviews and 1 million members. We have been written up in the Boston Globe, Investor's Business Daily and many industry news sites.
This position has a key role in our efforts to develop an innovative and user-friendly mobile product. Candidates must have a passion for creating great consumer Internet products, excellent visual design skills, and an understanding of the urban youth market.
This is a full-time role based in our downtown Boston offices.
Requirements:
Knowledge of user-centered design principles and web design best practices.
Expertise in producing Web ready files, including basic animation.
Exceptional design, typography, use of color and white space.
Strong attention to detail and passion for creating great designs.
Fluent in Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver.
Strong portfolio showcasing professional website design expertise.
Responsibilities:
Design banners, landing pages, and optimize for best click through.
Develop mockups and HTML/CSS prototypes to effectively communicate design ideas.
Create designs that elegantly scale to fit on a variety of mobile devices.
Assess and improve the usability of new and existing functionality.
Iterate on designs based on team feedback and usability testing.
